The City of Monrovia's Green Team is pleased to invite you to participate as a sponsor for the 1st Annual, Community Sustainability Fair on Saturday, September 25, 2010 located at Library Park. The event will feature workshops in key resource areas (air quality, energy efficiency, waste reduction urban design and nature, transportation, environmental health and water resources) that impact our community and daily lives. As part of the Community Sustainability Fair we will offer tours of our LEEDs Certified Silver Library, low emission vehicle (LEV) displays, workshops on topics ranging from Smart Gardening to Energy Efficiency Grants and Loan Opportunities, booths featuring businesses and local organizations, a "reuse" fashion show, music and entertainment, a children's eco-activity area and local dining opportunities in nearby Old Town restaurants. The theme of this year's event is "Working Together for a Green Monrovia." Your sponsorship will provide an opportunity for residents, business and local government to come together to share our experiences and learn new ways to make our community more sustainable. Clifton Middle School Marching Band needs our help!
Greetings from the Clifton Middle School Marching Band! We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about our 2009-2010 fundraising drive for our program. The Clifton Middle School Band is in dire need of new band uniforms and we will need $10,000 to purchase all new uniforms for the band. We have our sights set on this goal and we hope that you can be a part of helping us reach that goal. This year, our fundraising drive will end on January 8th, 2010, and all donated
funds are due by this date.
