Action On Film International Film Festival is one of the fastest growing, independent, large scale festivals in the country. Lauded for its inclusive approach of domestic and international filmmakers, the festival has been named one of the Top 25 Festivals in the World by Moviemaker Magazine and has received critical acclaim from writers, producers, directors and celebrities for the last seven years. Now in its eighth year, the festival, which has supported celebrities such as Michael Madsen, John Savage, Harry Lennix, Michael Jai White, Kim Coates, Ron Perlman, Talia Shire, and David Carradine, makes a great move to the beautiful city of Monrovia with the support of the incredible Krikorian theater chain. These theaters are state-of-the-art, and the theater is a cornerstone business for the city. Long supported by such incredible sponsors as the Sheraton Pasadena, Avid, Sony, the Stella Adler Academy, Video Symphony, Beaver Creek Vineyards, Ruth's Chris restaurants, and many local-level patrons and sponsors, the festival will bring over 20,0000 visitors over a week-long period to Monrovia, to not just watch the films, documentaries, and animated projects that will be shown, but to sample the best of what this city has to offer. In addition to screening nearly 700 films and projects on an eight day schedule, the festival will continue its tradition of a celebrity-studded black tie awards shows which will again be hosted by Noor events center, the Sheraton Pasadena, as well as local businesses the festival producers hope to work with, not only to extend the AOF brand, but to bring very necessary revenue to local businesses and venues which will benefit from being a part of the AOF experience.

ITT Systems was awarded a 5 year contract will JPL to support the Deep Space Network. ITT will provide the necessary Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering support to operate & maintain JPL's Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex in California's Mojave Desert; accomplish DSN Network operations and maintenance, support problem analysis and resolution, support network engineering efforts and support radar and radio astronomy activities. This support will be provided for Goldstone and for the DSN Facilities in Pasadena. ITT will also provide logistic support for both of these facilities and for the DSN facilities in Madrid, Spain and Canberra, Australia.
