About Us

Since 1981, Options for Learning has been at the forefront of helping families break the cycle of poverty by providing tools to create a positive foundation for school, social, and life success.?With more than 90 locations throughout the San Gabriel, Whittier, and Pomona valleys and Northeast Los Angeles, we provide free, low-cost, and affordable early learning and before- and after-school programs that prepare children ages 0-14 for the challenges of tomorrow. Additionally, we train and support thousands of child care professionals, including licensed family child care?providers, center-based staff, and family, friends, and neighbors who provide care. Funded by federal, state, and local contracts, many spaces in our programs are allocated to qualified lower-income families. Almost 5,000 children are served through our programs.
